Biography:

Dr. Jodi Kinney was drawn to the profession of Chiropractic having been a Chiropractic patient since she was 7 years old. She suffered chronic strep throat and allergies throughout all of her childhood and was on allergy medications and frequent rounds of Anti-biotics. Her mom, who was a chiropractic patient at the time, spoke to her Chiropractor about her daughter’s frequent illnesses. The Chiropractor discussed natural Chiropractic care to help boost the immune systemand naturally help young Dr. Kinney to improve her overall health. She started getting adjusted in 1978 and her overall health improved dramatically. She was off all medication and almost never had to go on antibiotics again. It was a game-changer.

After graduating from Rutgers University in 1994, Dr. Kinney went on to earn a Doctor of Chiropractic degree from New York Chiropractic College in 2000. She opened a solo practice in 2003, Intrinsic Chiropractic Center, in Jackson, New Jersey. Here she really built on her idea of Family Chiropractic treating the whole family; children, infants, pregnant patients and their grandparents. She also started providing Chiropractic care to Athletes as well as Auto injuries. Dr. Jodi Kinney expanded in early 2019 with the opening of her second practice, Kinney Chiropractic on Highway 71 in Belmar. As a resident of Belmar for over 25 years, it was time to start providing chiropractic care for her own neighbors and friends. She currently splits her time between both locations.

Dr. Kinney is a participating member of the Association of NJ Chiropractors. She is also an active member of the Jersey Shore Chamber of Commerce. She was recently elected Councilwomen in Belmar. She regularly shares her health expertise with the community through volunteer presentations, talks and workshops about Wellness in the Workplace, Nutrition, Stress management and Proper Exercise Techniques.

Dr. Kinney and her husband, Richard, have two children who attend St.Rose Grammar School and St. Rose High School. She is an avid tennis player and enjoys yoga, snowboarding, travel as well as the beach.
