ROOFING & SIDING & BURGLAR ALARMS
As of March 5th, 2018 a permit is no longer required for roofing & siding for detached one & two family dwellings.
The state of New Jersey (department of community affairs) has made changes to the UCC (uniform construction code) regarding ordinary maintenance & minor work. Minor work still requires permits but there have been some changes to the minor work procedures. Ordinary maintenance has never required a permit. The state has added some types of work that will now be considered ordinary maintenance and not require a permit. Roofing, siding & burglar alarms will now not require a permit. For the complete list of changes FOLLOW THE LINK BELOW HTTP://WWW.NJ.GOV/DCA/DIVISIONS/CODES/ALERTS/PDFS/OM_MVV_03052018.PDF
