Help Wanted: Code Enforcement Inspector

The Borough of Belmar seeks a Code Enforcement Officer to perform a variety of field and office work in support of local ordinances under the supervision of a Supervising Code Enforcement Officer, or other supervisory official. Duties include but are not limited to inspections of residential and commercial properties for compliance with regulations, investigate complaints, communicate with property owners, and follow-up/close investigations, appearance in Municipal Court, processing applications and payments and additional clerical work. Valid driver’s license and proficient computer skills required. The position requires flexible hours (nights and weekends may be included). Experience with Edmunds and GovPilot preferred but not required. Minimum one year experience in Code Enforcement is required.
