The Borough of Belmar is seeking a Mechanic Helper in the Department of Public Works. A minimum of five years of experience in the maintenance and repair of vehicles, trucks, and equipment associated with municipal government is preferred. Duties will include maintenance and repair of various types of motors and mechanical equipment, assembling of engines, transmissions and other parts, perform minor preventive maintenance, inspections, oil changes, tire repair and record keeping, completion of service forms and reports. Knowledge of Microsoft Office and Gmail is preferred. Knowledge of air brakes and hydraulics required. Commercial Driver’s License is required. Candidate must be able to work prolonged hours during emergencies and inclement weather. Salary based on qualifications. Application can be found at www.belmar.com.
