Notice of Public Hearing – Monmouth County Municipal Park Improvement Grant Program

Notice is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held  by the Borough of Belmar for the purpose of receiving comments on the Silver Lake Recreation Trail Improvement grant application to Monmouth County for Open Space Trust Funds under the Monmouth County Parks Improvement Grant Application Grant Program.  The Public Hearing will be held on June 25, 2024 prior to the regularly scheduled Borough Council meeting at 6:00pm , at which time all persons who may be interested therein will be given an opportunity to be heard.  The meeting will be held at the Borough of Belmar Municipal Meeting Room located at 601 Main Street, Belmar NJ 07719.  Written comments may also be submitted and will be accepted by the Municipal Clerk prior to the hearing date and time.

The Borough of Belmar desires to obtain Monmouth County Municipal Park Improvement Grant Program funds in order to construct various new improvements to the recreation trail at Silver Lake such as a reconstruct the existing trail with pervious pavement and replace and upgrade the trail amenities including park benches and trash receptacles.  The site is located between Ocean Ave, Fifth, Sixth, Seventh and Eighth Avenues and North and South Lake Shore Avenues, Belmar Borough, designated as Block 50; Lot 1.
