Belmar Shade Tree Commission Notice to Homeowners-JCPL Tree Trimming in Belmar

Jersey Central Power and Light/First Energy has notified Belmar of their plans to conduct roadside tree trimming within the entire town of Belmar. This exercise will entail the trimming of trees within the planting strip (area between the curb and sidewalk) that presents a hazard and/or interfere with overhead wires. It is expected that this work will commence in early January 2025 and continue for approximately 2 months’ time. We are told that residents will be notified by JCPL prior to work commencing on their specific street. Homeowners that have questions should contact JCPL customer service at the phone number on their electric bill.
