22st Anniversary New Jersey Seafood Festival - June 7th - 8th, 2008 - Along with this and many other well publicized Special Events Belmar does offer, we also have some wonderful, less noticed activities for all to enjoy. Listed below are but a few events that the Tourism Commission either sponsors or coordinates and are open to the public. A complete listing of all activities is listed in our Events Calendar.

Annual Sandcastle Contest - Wednesday, July 09, 2008 - Visitors and Residents alike become active participants or spectators at this annual Sandcastle Contest held in July of each year. This event is held at the 18th  Avenue beach and extends several blocks both north and south. Registration and sand castle building begins at 8:00 am and judging is from 12 noon - 1:00 pm. This event is free to all participants. There are several children's age groups and also a 16 and over competition. Click on the heading for photos of last year's record shattering event.

Summer Concert Series - Every Friday evening during the months of June, July and August a different musical artist or group perform at the Pyanoe Plaza, Main Street between the hours of 7 pm - 10 pm, weather permitting. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy a night of great entertainment for the entire family. Click Here for the schedule

 Movies on the Beach - Join us on Sunday evenings at dusk for free movies on our 8th Avenue Beach. A great Summer night for the entire family.
