BRIAN CORY

Brian P. Cory, son of Gene and Nancy Cory of Belmar, was recently named as the New Jersey Visionary Assistant Principal of the Year.

Mr. Cory grew up in Belmar, graduated from Manasquan High School, and taught at Belmar Elementary School from 1997 until 2002.

He received his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University and his master’s degree from Georgian Court College.

Mr. Cory is currently the vice-principal of Tenafly High School.

As New Jersey’s winner of the award, Mr. Cory is now nominated for the NASSP/Vicro National Assistant Principal of the Year.

“I am extremely humbled by being recognized as New Jersey’s Visionary Vice Principal of the year,” he said. “Much of my success can be attributed to my roots which began at Belmar Elementary School, both as a student and a teacher.”
