SCAT Bus (Special Citizens Area Transportation)

SCAT: The SCAT BUS is available for shopping on Tuesdays. It goes to SHOP RITE , FOOD TOWN and the K-MART shopping plaza. This transportation is handicapped accessible. You must call 732-431-6480 24 hours in advance. Pick up and drop off is at your home. The cost for this service is free for Belmar Seniors and residents who are disabled.

If a Senior or disabled resident requires a handicapped accessible ride for a medical appointment, they can  contact  SCAT  at  (732)431-6480 at  least 48  hours in advance. The cost  is  $2.00 each  way, if  local. The  cost will vary if  out of the  local area, depending on distance.

 

SHARE RIDE: This is a taxi cab service available to seniors or disabled. The cost for this service is $2.00 each way if local. It can vary to $6.00 each way if out of the local area.This service is not accessible and can be used for  medical appointments or for shopping.  It is  available Monday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday from 8 AM – 4 PM and Thursday evenings from 4 PM – 9 PM. You must call 1-800-325-9754
