The Borough of Belmar is proud to host the 2nd Annual Feast of San Gennaro at the Jersey Shore in downtown Belmar on Saturday and Sunday, September 7th and 8th. 

 The festival will fill Main Street in Belmar with authentic Italian foods, wines, games tipreplicas.com iwc replica watches and activities, starting with the traditional procession of the statue of San Gennaro, benefiting the Belmar Hurricane Sandy Displaced Family Grant Program.  Look for dancing, games for young and old and live entertainment. 

The festival is an occasion to honor local officials of Italian-American descent who have made a positive impact on the quality of life in our area.  Claire Deike, long-time Belmar resident, former Belmar Elementary School Teacher and present Belmar Council President, will be honored as the Daughter of San Gennaro of the Jersey Shore. Thomas Gagliano, former Executive Director of New Jersey Transit and founding President of the Jersey Shore Partnership, will be honored as the Son of San Gennaro of the Jersey Shore, and Thomas Faragalli, owner of T&T Coast Buick in Sea Girt and Johnny Fries Restaurant in Ortley Beach, is being recognized as the San Gennaro at the Jersey Shore Italian-American Businessperson of the Year.

 The event starts on Saturday, September 7th with a Mass at 10:00am at St. Rose Church at 603 Seventh Avenue in Belmar.  The statue of San Gennaro will then lead a procession down Main Street to the Festival location.

 The festival will take place between 10th and 12th Avenues on Belmar’s Main Street from 11am until 8pm on Saturday, September 7th and from 11am until 6 pm on Sunday, September 8th.

Mass:              Saturday, 10:00am St. Rose Church at 603. Seventh Avenue

Procession:    Saturday immediately following Mass

Festival:         Saturday 11am –8pm

Sunday 11am – 6pm


Movie:           “Big Night”

Saturday 8pm at 12th and Main
