About Belmar First Aid Squad:
Belmar First Aid Squad proudly protects 7000 people living in an area of 1 square mile.

The Belmar First Aid Squad was organized in 1927 and is believed to be the oldest independent volunteer squad in the U.S. We average 900 ems calls per year and cover the Borough of Belmar which is 1 square mile. The summer season is our busiest time of year, with an influx of visitors sometimes passing the 50,000 person mark. We also cover the many events that take place in the summer, such as the N.J. Seafood festival, The John Cobb Five Mile Run and other misc. events. The Squad is able to operate because of the contributions of the generous residents of Belmar.
