Please note that federal flood and storm data is notoriously out of date, and due to rising sea levels and the increased severity of rain events, the likely impact areas for the Category 1 and Category 2 storm events are likely much larger  than depicted. (And remember that the difference in average elevation between Belmar’s lowest and highest elevations is only 1.9 feet!) Accordingly, in assessing your storm surge risk, we encourage you to assume that each colored impact area will be as much as a block larger than shown on the map.
