Summer Rentals

A Summer Rental Application must be completed for a property or unit that is rented from May 15th – September 15th. Please read this page entirely before submitting an application. Thank you.The fees are to be paid in two separate checks made payable to the Borough of Belmar. The fees are as follows:

Fire Inspection & License $175.00

Tourism Fee $75.00

All Summer Rentals will be required to have the “10 Really Good Ideas vs 10 Really Bad Ideas” poster hanging on a wall in each house or unit at the time of inspection. If this poster is not hung up during the inspection you will fail.

****The new garbage ordinance now gives the option of having Monday pick-up for garbage and/or recycling for a fee of $100.00 per unit for garbage and $100 per unit for recycling. (Some properties already have Monday garbage pickup and may only need Monday recycling pickup). Only those that have paid for the stickers or already have Monday garbage pickup will receive the Monday pickup. Those found to be placing their garbage and/or reycling out on Monday and are not on the schedule will be fined. If you are interested in signing up for this please contact the main office. Attention Owners: It is your responsibility to provide your tenants with the garbage schedule and stickers if necessary. You and your tenants may be eligible for fines for violating the garbage and reycling ordinance. YOU MUST SHOW PROOF OF PURHASE OF STICKERS BEFORE AN INSPECTION WILL BE SCHEDULED.

Each Landlord of a Summer Rental should provide a Tenant Certification in lieu of an Affidavit form to the tenant(s) advising of the maximum occupancy. This form would be kept by the Landlord. To print this form click here.

All Animal House Bonds must be paid prior to any inspections being scheduled.

Each landlord must provide their tenant with clear plastic bags for garbage and recycling. Each tenant must sign a trash bag receipt form. Trash Bag Receipt Form
