Council Committees

Each member of the Borough Council serves on a several Committees of the Council, which focus on specific areas of the Borough government, and are responsible for reporting back to the Council as a whole.  Council members are appointed to committees by the Mayor at the Council’s annual reorganization meeting in accordance with N.J.S.A. 40:69A-123:

The following are the Council Committee assignments for 2009:

Finance, Grants, Leasing and Personnel Committee – Doherty and Wright

Beach and Environment Committee (operations and activities, except lifeguards)- Deicke and Brennan.

Parks, Roads and Buildings Committee – Brennan and Deicke

Public Safety Committee (police, fire and first aid, including lifeguards) – Wright and Doherty

Community Services Committee (including youth services, recreation, senior citizen services, Drug Alliance) – Brennan and Deicke

Water/Sewer Committee – Wright and Doherty
