I am proud to have a son ( Captain Adam Campbell) serving in the USMC in Kandahar Afghanistan. Adam advised that with the holidays approaching the best things to send to the troops are Phone cards , SKYPE cards and Itune cards. Adam advised that he would disperse any cards to enlisted Marines wishing to call home for the holidays. My son is a Harrier Pilot assigned to VMA 231. This squadron has over 200 marines in Kandahar. VMA 231 is charged with flying close air support (CAS) for the united troops serving in Afghanistan. VMA 231 is due to return the beginning of summer 2010. I encourage any one who wishes to donate cards to the marines to write a quick note that can be sent with your gift.
Many of you have already donated DVD’s to the marines. To date we have sent over 500 DVD’s to Afghanistan. These are in a central location for all to check out. DVD’s are still being accepted by Belmar Recreation and sent to Afghanistan.
Thank you for all you do for our brave Men and Women serving so far from home.

Belmar Recreation is collecting DVDs for our Service men and women stationed at Kandahar Afghanistan. In their down time it is a great distraction to be able to check out a movie from a video library and dream of being somewhere else. For these brave men and women who sacrifice so much, we would love to be able to assist them in building the DVD library. Any and all movies will be accepted and sent to Kandahar in care of the USMC. The DVDs will be accessible to all service personnel assigned to that base. If you have some movies that you just don’t use or wish to purchase some for the cause, Please drop them off at the Belmar Gym at 601 Main Street or call Mike Campbell and I can pick them up if that helps. 732-681-3700 dial 9 then 211
