Sunday Night Movie on the Beach

This evening we will be showing G Force.    Due to the inclement weather today, we will be showing the movie inside at the Taylor Pavilion which is located on the boardwalk at 5th & Ocean Aves.

Belmar Library Presents: Victorian Mourning Customs

Summer is almost over and autumn will be on its way with thoughts of ghosts and goblins, witches and vampires.  What better way to spend an October evening than learning about Victorian mourning customs.

On October 27th at 7 pm at the Belmar Public Library ,517 10th Avenue, Jane Estes will bring Victorian death and dying to life with her “tongue-in-cheek look at Civil War era funeral customs.” There will be a presentation with a question and answer session.

She will speak the dying words of some famous people, explore some of the odder aspects of that time and present a display of mourning memorabilia along with  a brief slide show demonstrating headstone symbolism.

This program is free and suitable for ages 10 and up.

Helping Seniors Survive the Economic Crisis

The National Council on Aging is hosting “Helping Seniors Survive the Economic Crisis” on September 15, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Belmar Library, 517 10th Avenue.  A representative from the National Council on Aging will be available to answer questions and provide information.

Bill Luckenbill Orchestra

Enjoy a wonderful evening of entertainment  with the Bill Luckenbill Orchestra every Monday in July and August from 8:00pm to 10:00pm, at Taylor Pavilion on Ocean Avenue.

Summer Socials Music & Dancing at Taylor Pavilion

The 2010 summer social’s held at Taylor Pavilion will start July 1st from 8pm till 10pm. The social’s will be held every Thursday in July and August. There is no charge so put on your dancing shoes and bring a friend to 5th and Ocean ave.

Monday night concerts will start July 5th at 8pm and will be held every Monday in July and August. The concerts will be held at the Taylor Pavilion (500 Ocean Ave. ) and are free to all. Enjoy the music and have a great summer!

Genealogy Program @ Belmar Library

The genealogy program by the Monmouth County Genealogy Society will be

presented on Wednesday evening at 7:00pm in The Media Room of The Belmar

Public Library.

Goodwill Hose Company are pleased to sponsor the Annual Kid’s Races and

Fitness Walk at Silver Lake Park on Friday July 9th .
