Belmar Historical Society

Belmar has an amazing history and is proud of the contribution residents have made to our town.  Come join the Belmar Historical Society (BHS) to help maintain and manage the wealth of historical documents, preserve historical items, create rotating displays for the Borough Hall lobby, and attend fun events!

Through the work of the BHS, the WW I Doughboy statue at Doughboy Park, and the WW II monument on Main Street have been restored, along with the Malta Mast base on Ocean and Eighth Avenues.   These initiatives and others were made possible with matching grants from the Monmouth County Historical Commission and the sale of personalized brick pavers.  Individuals or businesses may purchase a brick paver to honor a veteran or loved one by contacting the BHS at (908) 309-3380 or e-mail at info@belmarhistoricalsociety.org

Visit our Museum at 900 E Street in the Union Fire House annex.  Check out our website for hours of operation at www.belmarhistoricalsociety.org and like us on Facebook.
