st-rose-baseball-parade1St. Rose of Belmar’s baseball team sunk Montclair Kimberly 11-0 and claimed their second consecutive Non-Public B state title last Sunday, June 7th. Roses pitcher Kyle Kennet threw 2 of 8 strikeouts in the first half of the first inning before turning the mound over to Montclair, who gave up 9 home runs to the Roses before the inning was out. Montclair tightened their game and only allowed two more runs, but their offense was no match for St. Rose’s well-choreographed defensive squad.

Following their mid-morning victory at Tom’s River North, the Roses hitched a ride from Belmar’s Goodwill Hose and Union Fire Companies, and two Spring Lake fire trucks.
